Who we are

Wakefield Elim Community Church

Senior Pastor: Rev. Sue Nicholls

Started in March 2016. Wakefield Elim Community Church exists with two main aims:

1. Love God

Loving God in all areas of life is a key to thriving now and eternity. Believing in the gospel that God so loved the world, that he sent His only son to Earth (John3:16); so that we may have eternal life. In that we turn from mess in our lives, to live a life of Love for God, practicing whole life worship and dedication to God.

2. Love People

To love people in all situations. Christ said the greatest commandments in life are to: Love God and Love others as if they were ourselves. No matter their background, their past, their position or place in society that we may bring the Love of Christ in a very practical and real way to all people. We believe that you belong before you believe; meaning that we treat you like family whoever you may be. We won’t judge you or treat you like an outsider. We will accept you as you are as all are welcomed by God.

WE ARE

An Elim Pentecostal Church -

Part of a movement of over 600 Churches in the UKA Community Church which means we are here for the people of Wakefield - not a church just for “religious” people but to reach all people. The activities we do will always aim to fulfil needs of the community.

A Pioneer Church -

We recently celebrated our 7th birthday, We started solely for the vision and mission to bring Christ to the people of Wakefield. We started independently, rather than being planted from another congregation.
